At the opening edition of MISAF – Milan Shoes and Accessories Fair the best of the Asian footwear production that perfectly combines quality, price and design
More than 100 exhibitors and thousands of shoes for everyone and for every style, together with a rich schedule of workshops and seminars.

The opening edition of MISAF Milan Shoes and Accessories Fair is about to start. The new fair will open the doors next June 15th in Studio Novanta (East End Studios) in Via Mecenate 88/a, where every day until June 17th, from 9.00 to 17.00, all professionals can walk through the fair seeing the exhibited products to find men, women, children and outdoor shoes that can meet the needs of the final clients.
The fair is open to the entire shoe industry, both Italian and European: buyers, representatives, distributors, import and export, e-commerce, brands, wholesaler, franchising shops, shopping malls, sports shops, trade associations, manufacturing companies, design institutes and designers that can observe and select products belonging to a large selection of shoe and accessories collections showed by Chinese exhibitors.
The exhibitors are long-standing companies, with a presence in the market for almost 40 years they can satisfy every kind of commissions, from the littlest to the biggest ones, in order to offer “footwear for everyone” with the best quality-price-design proportion. Among the exhibitors not only OEM (Original equipment manufacturer) companies but also ODM (Original design manufacturer) companies that will show their Made in China creations with their own brands, in addition to Chinese companies that have already worked for famous European and American brands.
The exposition will be a taste of what the Asian country with 5 million shoes sector operators and a production of almost 14 million pair of shoes can offer.
Moreover, the schedule of the three days fair is rich of workshops, seminars and talks, starting from the opening ceremony organized for June 15th at 10 am with the presence of local institutions representatives, several trade associations and Chinese institutions representatives such as the Vice President of China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Footwear, Zhang Jie; the General Director of the Commercial Development Department of the Ministry of Commerce of People’s Republic of China, Wu Zhengping, and Chinese Economic Commercial consul, Li Shaofeng. There will be also the Executive President of Wenzhou Shoe & Leather Industry Association, Xie Rongfang; the Chairman of Zhejiang Yuyan Shoes Co. Limited, Wang Huaidi; and CEO of Ranch International Limited, Oliver Chen.
After the opening ceremony there will be the press conference and the seminar about The structure and the evolution of the footwear sector in Italy, digital marketing and omni-channel retailing held by Professor Fiocca and Professor Hu from Università Cattolica of Milano.
The talk will offer an overview on the recent evolution of the footwear sector in West Europe, the third biggest shoe market in the world after Pacific Asia and North America; and will illustrate the opportunities and challenges offered by the digital world in an omni-channel retailing perspective.
The second day, June 16th, the focus will be on the seminar held by the shoe and leather designer Sergio Belloni (Professor at MPA Milano) who will show trends and previews of the 2020 spring/summer season and 2020-2021 fall/winter season. This will be the opportunity to take stock of materials, colours, volumes, tonalities, sources of inspiration and ideas to realize products studied in detail and to create successful collections.
On Monday June 17th, there will be presentations of Italian shoe designers and some Italian vocational training schools with a focus on shoemaking.
MISAF represents the perfect opportunity to let people know not only Chinese production and style but also the Asian country’s will to show its potential: large-scale industries, guaranteed quality and favourable prices, shoes suitable to the large-scale distribution, a lot of comfort products with a good quality-price proportion.
It is the first time that China has moved towards Europe with an initiative this important and the aim of the organizers, China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Footwear and Plum Solution, which promotes exchanges between China and Europe, is to make MISAF become a professional platform for standardised and large-scale footwear industries, and be a meeting point where producers, buyers, designers, brand operators, retailers and e-commerce platforms can develop collaborations, win-win relationships and mutual profit.
In addition to the exhibitors already present such as Kangnai group, one of the most important men shoes brand in China, with hundreds of shops and collaborations with famous brands; Clorts, youth brand that focuses on the research and development of innovative applications for sports and outdoor shoes; Sheme, first luxury brand to take part at the Fashion Weeks in Paris, London and New York; there are many more, such as Wenzhou Huadeli Shoes Co,. Ltd, a company that is technologically advanced and specialized in slippers, snow boots and leather shoes, with the ability to produce 5 million pair of shoes in a year.
